This Dawn has bleach alternative in it to help with stains. If you've ever used a microwave to warm up pasta sauce in a plastic dish then this is a good dish soap for you. It helps to get rid of that red residue that is left behind. It won't take it completely away, but it does take care of most of it. Dawn has always been known to "take grease out of the way" and I think the bleach alternative takes away some of the effectiveness of that. It seems I have to wash to get the dish clean and then wash to get the greasy feeling off of the dish. I wouldn't get rid of my regular Dawn because I'm not fond of washing dishes twice. I do keep this Dawn with bleach alternative on hand to use on plastic dishes, though.
