Dean Markley Skullbuster Bass Strings By Bottles_of_Dirt on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

For the relatively average price of twenty dollars for a set of bass strings, I figured it would hurt to try them. Most people would be put off by the Misfits in bright green on the top of the package. Honestly I'm not a fan but it seemed like a good idea to try some new string gauges. Every discription I've read about these strings on retail sites is pretty much just a bunch of things Jerry Only has said about them. The facts of these strings is that they are steel wound, they have ball ends, and the ends are wrapped in green silk. A lot of people have had a hard time setting the inotation on the 'D' string. I never had that problem, or any problem with them. The aren't the most lasting strings(the usually last me about 4 months before they start losing their crunch) but they deliver a crunchy sound that is amazing if you play with over drive or some distortion. Each string comes pre packed in a paper pouched, typical of most strings, they also include a Dean Markley Skullbusters sticker, you don't need it to make these strings great though.
