Definitely Do Not Stay Here

Ok, the only good thing about this hotel was that I did not end up dead the next day. I am serious, too. This was the scariest place I have ever stayed at. And I know Miami has some bad areas to it, but the area of the hotel's location, wasn't bad at all. It is about 1/4 mile from the American Airlines Arena. There are several places to eat around the hotel and a whole shopping area, which is located next to the American Airlines Area.

Now...how was the hotel itself? It was horrible. Well, first of all, the hotel has no parking at all. You have to find your own place to park, which there is a parking garage next door to the hotel but it is handled by an attendant, and it takes forever to get your car. That was where we had to park though. There are only 2 elevators in the hotel and it takes about 10-15 minutes to get an elevator. Our room was on the 17th floor and the stairs are a spiral staircase and are very unsafe and scary. Well we had to wait for an elevator to go to our floor, especially with our luggage. That was just sooo annoying.

Well...we get to our room, open the door and of course it smells. We can barely even fit our luggage on the floor. The television had 4 channels available and 3 were in Spanish. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. The bathroom was so small, you had to stand in the bathtub to get the door closed. It was not fun. Plus, there were 4 of us in the room, and we needed more towels. They never brought us up towels like they said they would. My friend and I had to use the elevator which took about 30minutes to get our towels altogether.

Oh yeah, on another note...we found several opened condom wrappers underneath the bed. I am glad we didn't find the used condoms, who knows where those were at. Yuck, I am disgusted just thinking about it.

The hotel costs about $200.00 a night also. I definitely do not reccommend this hotel. It is very unsanitary and not a good hotel.

I work as a 9-1-1 dispatcher and I work nightshift. This will definitely help me not fall asleep at work. I also go to UCF...

We were going to Miami for a music festival that lasted all weekend and looked for hotels in walking distance and it was in walking distance. My friend found it through expedia, I think.

YUCK! That is disgusting. Too bad you could not find another place to stay. Guess we know why that one was not booked up. Can you report them to Expedia or anything? They might want to take them off of their list of places to stay!

Thanks for the info. Your discription of the bathroom sounds more like the bathroom on a cruise ship rather than one in a hotel. At least on a ship, I would expect it to bee that small.

Wow, I thought I have stayed in some bad hotels but not like this for $200 a night. Thanks for the information though, it is one hotel I will avoid.
