Dell Inspiron 1525 Notebook By cafn8me on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

After my 4 year old Gateway laptop died in January, I decided to buy myself a brand new Dell notebook. After researching my options both on the web and in brick-and-mortar stores for about a month, I finally chose the Dell Inspiron 1525. What attracted me to this notebook initially was the price. At $449, this model definitely fit my budget! Also, through my membership in an online rebate program, I got $30 back after my purchase, bringing the price down to $419.....even better! My Inspiron includes the following features:

* Intel Pentium Dual Core T4200

* 3GB, DDR2 SDRAM

* 15.4 inch Wide Screen

* 250G 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive

* Microsoft Windows Vista SP1 Home Basic Edition

The screen is clear and bright, and the unit is lightweight and so far seems to manage its heat output quite well. The one complaint I have is that the touchpad could be a bit more precise. It seems to need a bit of coaxing at times. But I guess that is easily remedied with a peripheral mouse.

I'm pleased with this purchase. The Inspiron 1525 gives a lotta bang for the buck!
