I bought the Dell Inspiron 700m about 2 years ago. I was looking for a lightweight computer that I could bring with me on trips and not have to worry about breaking my back with the weight. I like the look of the Dell Inspiron 700m. It's silver with white trim. It has a 12 inch screen. It weighs about 4.5 pounds. Right now it weighs a little more because I have the bigger 6 cell battery on it. The original battery doesn't work anymore and the bigger battery is a lot heavier. I might buy a new battery, but the other one is working fine right now. The computer came with a CD burner, 512MB RAM, and an 80GB hard drive. It's getting to be obsolete right now, but when I bought it, it was pretty much top of the line in the price range I could afford. I'll probably hold on to this computer for a couple more years until the current inventory gets smaller and lighter, then I'll get a new one. In the meantime, I'm very satisfied with my purchase.
