Dell Standard Speakers
By Debbie831 onMy computer crashed and bunred at work so they got me a new computer. I had a gateway and this time they bought me a dell! I wasn't sure if I would like it (I am not a fan of dell products!) but I have to admit the computer is pretty sweet and I haven't had any problems with it yet..but the speakers are a different story.
Please whatever you do spend a little extra and get better speakers if you are buying a dell computer. These speakers are horrible. The sound quality is terrible and even when not in use I get a static sound consistantly coming out of the speakers. I ended up having to keep them turned off unless I need to use them. The only thing I use them for is to listen to tapes my boss gives me to dictate (yes he still dictates!). I have a horrible time hearing anything my boss has to say, these are the lowest quailty speakers I have ever used!
I am going to request new speakers, these are useless! I gave it a 4.4 on appearance because they are small and cute..thats about all they are!
I agree with you-it's best to spend a little bit more money to get quality speakers. (your boss still dictates?!)
Funny how some things just get cheaper in the standard packages. It's like they know "everyone" will upgrade anyway so they just include junk.
Too bad these speakers are such duds. I hope you find some nice upgrades that don't cost too much money.
Great advice to consumers. No one likes speakers that make every thing sound awful!
Yuck, I hate Dell's speakers period. But, I'd hate to have some like those. I'm very picky with my sound. Hahahaha. Hope you get new ones, because most of Dell's speakers aren't too great.
Do the dell speakers have their own power supply? if not they are probably not loud enough.
