This cookbook is inspired by one of my favorite TV shows, Desperate Housewives. Many of the recipes have been mentioned in the show like Bree's muffins and Susan's macaroni and cheese.

The book is broken into chapters that focus on different characters in the show as opposed to different types of food. Each person has several recipes, stories, sample grocery lists (things they would buy not necessarily a list for the recipes) and beautiful pictures.

I loved this book not only because of the great recipes (shopping bag chicken or yummy muffins anyone?) but because it is a great companion to the Desperate Housewives show which I love. The cookbook is funny and functional a rare combination for a cookbook.
