Diaper Genie 2 By Peregrinus on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

With the coming of our 3rd child, we realized we'd be swamped in diapers from 2 sources. We're notoriously bad for just tossing soiled diapers in a pile and dealing with them come garbage day, so we decided on purchasing a Diaper Genie.

The Diaper Genie 2 features a lid, a retracting odor bocking clamp, and a built-in bag cutter. The system can hold roughly 15-20 soiled diapers (size 4), or up to 30-35 size 1 diapers.

When the included bag dispenser runs out, you can buy a refill for about $8.

The smell is fairly well controlled, but not perfect (considering it has no deodorizing agent, that's fairly good).

PROS:

- Cheap initial system

- Clean and Convenient

CONS:

- Refills get expensive

- Fills up fast with multiple poo producers in the area (multiple children)

- Depending on the type of soiled diaper, and get smelly

- Sticking hand into the pail
