Wow, I have watched this film a thousand times, but it only seems to get funnier. This is the funniest movie I have ever watched, believe me! The movie Diary of a Mad Black Woman is about a young woman who is mistreated by her husband. Charles and Helen McCarter had the perfect life but when Charles finds another woman, he kicks Helen out of their home and leaves her in the mud. Distraught and angered Helen seeks help from her grandmother, Madea Simmons (you gotta know who that is), and Brian, her cousin. When life becomes hard for Charles, his mistress abandons him and he needs Helen the most. But, in the midst of all this, Helen has already found love for someone else. This is where Charles realizes how much Helen meant to him. Vengeful at first, soon Helen has the heart to forgive him, but she must also make a decision between Charles, and Orlando (new love). Keeping a written diary of all her feelings from anger to love, Diary of a Mad Black Woman will have you caught up in a dramatic, yet hilarous film.

Tyler Perry is an excellent producer, writer and actor. Personally I enjoy Tyler Perry films because they are soooo hilarious but at the same time dramatic. He combines the two in a terrific, five-star, funny, never a dull moment film!
