Did You Know There Was A Shrek 1 12, In 3 D? By Mia Blaisdell on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
When I first saw Shrek I was visiting some friends out in Sonoma, CA. I thought it was hilarious So I had to get a copy. So the next time I was out there visiting, it was right around the time they had released Shrek 2 on dvd, and while I was there I brought this back as a gift. It's title is Shrek 3D but don't mistake it for being the first Shrek in 3D, because it is definitely NOT! This is a whole new movie and should actually be called Shrek 1 1/2! The adventure starts where Shrek's wedding left off in the first movie. Shrek and Princess Fiona head off to celebrate their Honeymoon together, of course accompanied by Donkey. (which they never can seem to shake, lol) On their way to their destination, their travels lead them through a haunted forest, where they encounter Lord Farquad's henchman, Thelonius and he captures Fiona and a chase ensues! It's filled with action and surprises and even though this is a very short feature, it's fun to watch, especially for kids.
It came packaged along with Shrek 2 and comes complete with a set of 4 pairs of 3D glasses inside. The movie offers 2 versions, in regular format and in 3D. Even though the 3D is not bad, I prefer to watch in regular format. I definitely recommend it for Shrek fans and I know kids will love the whole 3D glasses and effects. So if you get a chance and happen upon a copy, grab one up! It is worthwhile to have for your movie collection.
Sorry that title was supose to read "Did you know there was a Shrek 1 1/2 in 3D?"
Dreamworks Shrek 3D

This version is also at Universal Studios Hollywood where you can see it as Shrek 4D - I just saw it, its pretty cool when your chair moves all around during the chase and you get sprayed when Shrek sneezes - all kinsd of good stuff!
I was just going to say this is the 3D ride at Universal Studios. I had no idea they put it on DVD. I need to check for it so I can increase my Shrek library.
I love Shrek, I didn't even know this movie existed! Thanks
I love all of the Shrek movies. We had the 3D one a few years ago and somehow we lost it during a couple of moves. My kids really want to get another copy. The first Srek was definitely my favourite. I love the soundtrack for it. It would be awesome to go on the Shrek ride at Universal Sudios!
I have a tendency to lose or damage those glasses too easily!
my family originally saw this in universal and knew once we got home we had to go buy it
