Didj'ya know?
By Peregrinus onWe bought the Didj learning game handheld for our 7 year old for Christmas. She always liked watching us play our video games, and always wanted to join in, so we decided to get her a hand held game system of her own.
Enter the Didj. For $80, you get the hand-held system made by Leapfrog. It comes with a preloaded math game,"Jetpack Heroes", and you can buy game cartridges such as Star Wars, Hanna Montana, Indiana Jones and others much lke any other handheld gaming system.
Each game targets a different area of a childs education: reading, writing, spelling, math, etc.
The Didj can be used with several children, all you need to do is to make a profile for each child, tailored to their grade level (specifically ages 6 to 10).
My daughter loves her Didj, using it whenever she can. Sometimes she needs prompting to figure out some of the math questions, but shes usually able to figure it out on her own.
I'd recommend the Didj as an educational alternative to the mindless games us older gamers enjoy.

Leapfrog knows how to make learning fun!!
