Digital Anyone? By reneecancun02 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
I took the plunge and bought myself a digital camera. I was one of those people that just wasn't sure about the digital world. I had also used my 35 mm Olympus camera with the film and was pretty happy with it. Well wouldn't you know it the 35 mm broke and I had to decide what to do.
I did a little bit of research on digital cameras. I knew I wanted something with at least 4mp and with a bigger zoom. I finally decided to purchase the Kodak Z740.
I have been very pleased with this camera so far. The image quality is wonderful. With the 4mp, I've enlarged pictures to 8x10 and still do not have a grainy texture. The features on the camera are pretty cool. It has several settings for taking pictures in different areas and at different times. It has a fireworks setting, which actually works pretty good.
I will say that the display image is not as large as I'd like it to be and the actual size of the camera is a little bulky. When wearing the camera around your neck for a length of time, it does start to pull as the camera is a bit heavier than the smaller, slimmer versions.
Overall, I would recommend this camera to anyone. Especially if you haven't taken the digital plunge yet and are just wanting to test it out. It is priced fairly reasonable for a digital camera and has nice features for the price.

It's so hard to sort this whole digital camera thing out. Thanks for some good info.
I think that digital cameras are miles better than the old film cameras
This is the Kodak model that I am planning to buy soon. Thanks for sharing.
