Digital Camera with ZOOM!

For my birthday, I wanted a new camera with some ZOOM!I was annoyed at not being able to do this with my old camera.

I did a lot of online research and played around with various cameras in the store.I selected Canon as it has a great reputation and I am familiar with their products, having owned several.The S5 IS replaced the S3 IS last year.It has 8 mega pixels, and 12x optical zoom.I am really enjoying the zoom and all the details I can get with this camera.This camera also sports an optical image stabilizer which detects and corrects movement and blur!Just what I need.

The S5 IS also has a 2.5 movable angle LCD screen, a hot shoe, DIGIC lll Image processor, and an easy movie button.I like the color accent option too, and many of the other modes.I have a lot to learn and plan to do so.

I enjoy the sturdy feel and weight of the camera and have been very pleased with the results so far.We just took a beach trip and I am amazed at the color, clarity, and zoom that this camera offers.I look forward to taking many more pictures with it.
