Digital Cordless Telephones By Janna on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I recently purchased the Uniden Digital Cordless telephone after my two year old put our last phone in the toilet. This digital phone comes with a base and three separate cordless phones. It's nice to have three phones around the house because if I forget to charge one there is always another that I can use.

This phone comes with several features that I absolutely love. There is the call waiting, caller id, programmable phonebook, and intercom function and call transfer abilities just to name a few. The phone also comes equipped with 20 different tunes that you can assign to numbers that are programmed in your phone. You can program up to 100 numbers into each different phone, meaning that you can program a total of 300 names and numbers.

I find that the sound quality is excellent on this phone and the range is fairly decent, I'd say a 50 foot radius from the phone base. The best part of this phone is a little button on the base that reads Do Not Disturb. You just press this button and the phone will not make a sound if you have an incoming call. Your digital answering machine will still allow the caller to leave a message.

The only drawback with this phone system is that while there is a visual alert if you have a voicemail there unfortunately is no auditory alert. Meaning your answering machine doesn't beep if you have a message. All in all this is a great phone and I plan to purchase another one in the future.
