DirecTV Satellite
By uaezarb onI have had my DirecTv service for about a year and are, for the most part, satisfied with the service. We do have a slight problem in bad weather with losing the signal, but not very often. We have the CHOICE Monthly package which is $37.74 a month with tax.We get over 200 channels with this package, but none of the HBO or Showtime type of channels. We also are getting our local channels without additional cost, but it did require us to have an additional satellite dish on our roof.We also have pay per view movies that we can order right from our remote and our usually only $3.99 for all day.We have older TV's that will not be compatible for the new digital signal that is going into effect in Feb 2009.But the DirecTv receiver will convert the signal, so we will not have to have another box in order for our TV to work.

We love our Directv too. We have very few problems with it!
Informative and well written. thanks for sharing.
My parents have Direct TV and they are very happy. That is awesome that your dish will convert the signal for those TV's that won't be able to broadcast next year. :o)
I'm glad you are having pretty good luck with direct tv. I had dish network in the past and I found them to be a little better. For some reason the direct tv menus completely make me mad lol. I guess I was used to dish networks menus. =-) That is nice that the dish will make everything work next year too.
my friend had it when he lived with his grandparents and it was awesome i have cable though, and cable is ok but i like direct tv allot better.
Doesn't it just figure . . . in California, not an hour away from Hollywood, Direct TV costs me $50 a month and moves are $4.99 . . . boy, do I want out of this state . . .
