Directv Satellite Tv By 999frights on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I love tv. In fact, even when I was in college and couldn't afford much, I could always afford cable. I've had satellite for 6 years. It all started with my cable company. They were very unreliable and we always had trouble with them. So we switched to the dish. We went with Dish Network. We had Dish Network for 1 year. I ditched them due to customer service issues. Now I am with Directv and I love it.

I have no idea why people say cable is better. Directv has been more reliable for us than cable ever was. In the 5 years I have been with Directv, I think we've only lost a signal due to rain about 5 times. Seriously, it hasn't been bad like the cable ads try to say it is. I considered going back to cable, looking to save money and I found that it was not cheaper and we would lose some of our channels - like the multiple Disney and Nick channels our kids love. We plan on sticking with Directv. Currently we only have 2 tv's running with Directv. We will probably add another one, which brings me to the downside. You do have to pay an additional $5 per month for each additional tv. With cable, you can have it all around the house. We are sticking with Directv.
