Dirt Devil Quick Power Rules! By Russell Jones on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I purchased the Dirt Devil Quick Power model vacuum as a quick and easy way to pick up pet hair as I rent a house with friends here at college. I bought it being skeptical but after using it for only 1 hour I am amazed at how well it preformed. For 30 dollars this cannot be beat. At Wal-Mart it is the second to the cheapest upright vacuum that they sell next to the Bissle model which is not good in comparison.

Filter change is super easy and it has two settings for bare floor and carpet. The only difference in the mode is bare floor makes the roller not run and the carpet setting makes the roller run. It did an awesome job at picking all of the hair off of the thick carpet we have in the house and there was a ton as we had not vacuumed since we moved in 4 months ago and we have two dogs which shed a ton. It literally made the carpet change colors after vacuuming because there was so much hair on the carpet.

The only downfall to this vacuum for the price is the fact that it has no ability to add attachments so if you need those this is not for you. It swivels a lot so getting under couches and coffee tables is not a problem in the least. It's also bag less so its a breeze to dump the dirt out of it.

Sounds like this Dirt Devil vacuum is doing a great job for you. Great price too!I've never tried the upright model, but I do have a Dirt Devil hand vacuum which is quite powerful.
