Disgaea, More Than It Looks By Ninpo on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Disgaea is the game that gets you interested just by looking at the box cover. It genre is role playing, but because of that doesn't mean that its anything lame. Its gameplay might be long and somewhat repetitive but once you are a fan that doesn't matter. The main reason that I enjoyed the game was its story and variety of "corny" jokes. Within all of this there is a more dramatic side, which I didn't expect until playing the game. The story is about the demon prince Laharl who wakes up from a 2 year sleep just to find that his father [the overlord of the demon world] has died....choking on food. His vassals are seeking the throne and Laharl is going around trying to stop them and take his place as the new overlord. Along with a couple other bright characters he sets off on his journey. There is a larger plot beneath the story. Disgaea has become a cult classic (even if its only a couple years old). If you haven't tried it yet you're missing out.
