We have the Dish Network 500. We got the one with the Dvr. We can record our shows that we watch so we don't miss it and thats not hard to do with the busy lives we live. We can also rewind live tv in case we miss something and thats also not that hard to do. If you are in between Dish Network and Directv. I would recommend getting Dish Network. I have not had a problem with it everyone I talk to says the same thing they would rather have Dish too. We got it when we moved into our apartment. The packages that they offer are great and affordable. It also has an interactive menu where you go to a certain channel and it has the weather channel, but you can set it so its set to your zipcode. It will give you the temp and it also gives you your five day forecast. You can also pay a little extra and get games for the family and also karoke. I love it.

I've often wondered who was better the Dish Network or Direct TV. Thank you for all the great details. When we can afford satellite dish options, I think that I am going to go with the Direct TV.
