Dish Network Dvr By cukal6 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
It took days for my husband to convince me to get the DVR with our dish network package. Now that we have it, I can't imagine how we lived without it. As soon as we got it, I set up all my shows to record. Now I don't have to worry about making sure there's a blank tape in the VCR, fiddling with the timer, or making sure I'm home in case I forget to set the timer. When I sit down to watch something, all of my recorded shows are just sitting there waiting for me.
I also can't believe I lived without the ability to pause live television, or rewind in case I missed something. I must have missed a lot of dialogue in the past becuase lately, I rewind everything to hear what they said. If the phone rings, I just pause what i'm watching, answer it, and then come right back where I left off.
If you have the chance to try DVR I would definitely do it. Then again, maybe you shouldn't. You'll never be able to give it up.

I love my DVR. The only problem is now I find myself want to rewind and pause everything - the car radio, the tv at my parents house, etc. I guess it's really spoiled me :-)
LOL I was in the same boat as you. I was a little apprehensive to get a DVR. I didn't think I was really gonna like it. Now I am hooked, I love it! I actually watch more tv because of this. I know that probably bad too.
I love DISH DVR. I am planning on convincing my husband to get it! I might make him read this to help sway it my way!
DVR's are awesome... as for the company.. well after working for them for 3 years its questionable..lol.. but DVR's are amazing
I have a DVR and love it I can't imagine not having it, it is one of the best things I have ever gotten.
This sounds so great! We don't have a DVR yet but have been talking about it. Thanks for all the information!
This sounds so convenient! I would love to have something like this with the dish. I must check into this after I tell my hubby!
I can't believe I don't have this yet! I'm such a procrastinator!
I know, I never watch anything live anymore:0) I just don't have that much time un-interupted to watch a show. After every 5 or 10 minutes the dog wants out or my son is calling "mommy" for whatever, or I'm threatening my stepson to do his homework. Well you get the picture. What ever did we do WITHOUT DVR?
Right. I totally agree that once you've gotten used to having DVR, it would be hard to do without it!
