Dish Network Satellite TV
By Georgia Sawhook onWe've subscribed to Dish Network for two years now and except for an occasional thunderstorm that stops the programming, we've been quite pleased with the service.
They are always running offers to get new customers and we got it, we received the 120 channel package.
This included for us 2 DVR's (which is literally a hard drive) one is our living room and the other in a bedroom. This DVR enables us to record up to 100 hours of programming to be played back anytime. It allows us to record our favorite shows when we are not at home. You can record a show in the one room while you're watching another show in another room as well.We also got two other boxes in our other 2 bedrooms (which are not DVR's) and free installment too.The DVR's are an additional $5 per month so we are getting all these channels plus 4 different rooms with boxes (2 of which are DVR's) for under $50 per month. We couldn't even touch that with our original cable company.
Another thing we LOVE is that you can pause the dvr when we leave the room and restart it skipping all the commercials when we come back to view it.That's how the DVR works too. It's great to watch something you've recorded and fast forward through all the commercials..Ha. ha.I especially like when my husband tapes a football game..skipping all those unnecessary plays and just watching what's important.Did you know you could actually see a NFL football game so fast?
GREAT buy and we're glad we switched.

Love my Dish. I made the mistake of switching to cable, that lasted about 6 months and I went right back. Thanks
Thanks for the info. I have been looking into switching from cable to a satellite TV system....our cable just seems to keep going up, up, up in price :0(
Wow, this sounds like a better deal than what we're getting at our home. Thanks for sharing your experience with this service!
