This drive is compatible with windows98SE, windows me, windows 2000, windows xp, windows vista, linux and mac operating systems. It has a fast transfer read rate of 1000Kbps, and a write rate of 750Kbps. You can just plug this thing into your 2.0 USB port on any laptop or desktop and it is ready to go. It is truly plug and play. I used to carry a flash drive on my key-chain but I found that it really took a pounding that way, but the pen is something that is either in my briefcase or my breast pocket so it stays pristine.
