We absolutely love Disney's MGM studios during Star Wars Weekends. The dates are not yet released for 2008 but when we were there in mid-June this year (2007) we had an incredible time. You are met with Storm Troopers on the roof as you enter and every character you could possibly imagine from Star Wars is in the park, there are meet and greets everywhere. There is even a special Star Wars parade in addition to the normal day parade at the park that is incredible and we all enjoyed tremendously. They have a Jedi Training academy for the kids where they can train to fight like a jedi and battle Darth Vader, if your child isn't selected though it is still a very fun show to watch. We enjoyed having our picture taken with Jedi Mickey and seeing all of our favorite characters throughout the day. I highly recommend Star Wars Weekends to any Star Wars fan!
