My son is 6 and has been wanting a digital camera. He saved his money and picked this camera. He got the one with the Pirates of the Caribbean theme. I kind of wish he would have waited and gotten a better camera, but then again, he is only 6. This camera says it is for ages 5 and up. We looked at the Crayola and Vtech cameras, but felt they were too babyish for him.

The camera does not take good pictures. He took about 125 pictures with this camera in 1 day and most of them were either too dark or too bright. He only had a very small amount come out properly. The pictures are also grainy. It has a flash that you can turn off, on, or set to Auto flash. There is also a display to preview the photos, but it is so small and all the photos look dark on it.

The camera came with software that you can edit the pictures with. This is actually the best part of the camera. I like this feature because you can add Disney characters or frames to your pictures.

I gave this camera a 2.5 out of 5, even though the photos are not so good, because I believe that it is a good camera for a young child. I don't have to worry about him breaking it. His sister has already dropped it several times and it has not been harmed. It will hold at least 200 pictures and I didn't have to buy a memory card. I definitely would not recommend this camera for an adult.

I think that's so cute that he saved up his money for a camera.
