The Southern California weather is pleasant; which makes for happy vacationers.; no oppressive heat and humidity to slow the pace down.

The park isn't huge, it's manageable to walk around without exhausting yourself, unlike the DisneyWorld park(s). Even with very young children Disneyland is a great place for a family vacation! every bathroom has diaper changing facilities and they even provide paper liners for the station as well a dedicated baby care station with nursing room, high chairs and kitchen.

Many of the rides are suitable for little ones so they don't miss out on the fun; the whole family can ride together. The attention to detail is a disney trait; so much to see and do even if you skip the rides; it's rare that someone is bored. There are a lot of activties that don't involve rides such as pin trading; Pirates Island, the shows, parades and of course eating and shopping!

To see all of the park you will need to spend several days--take your time and try every ride and go into every shop; you will be amazed at how little is duplicated. The general feel of the place is very different than the DisneyWorld parks, I find it has a more innocent feel to it; I don't feel like the purpose is to separate me from my money. It happens but I don't feel targeted.

Whatever type of food you are looking for you will find it; so many options! Don't miss the Blue Bayou for a meal, highly expensive but a real treat!

You aren't obligated to stay on Disney property, there are several options within walking distance that are just as nice as the Disney themed resorts but don't cost as much. You would do well to research all of your options.
