Disney Pixar Cars Gummy Vitamins By buckeyefan on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
I recently decided to start my entire family on daily multi-vitamins since we are changing our diets. I have a 4 year old who generally is not picky when it comes to eating, but most of the time he is just too busy to eat, and so he has trouble sometimes gaining weight.
I wanted to find a childrens vitamin that would taste good enough for him to want to take it, but that wouldn't contain high fructose corn syrup, something we are trying to eliminate from our diets. I came across the Cars Gummy vitamins in my grocery, and brought them home to try it- they were a big hit!
I was worried that the gummies would be too hard to chew, and I didn't want it to be a choking hazard, but I found them to be soft enough to chew quite easily. The recommended dose for kids 2 and over is 2 gummies once a day. I took two myself, and they were really quite good- they didn't have any "medicinal" taste at all! My son liked them just as much- he looks forward to taking his vitamins now.
I do like the fact that there is a child-proof cap on these vitamins, because there are pictures of Cars characters on the bottle, so I think it would be easy for kids to mistake them for candy. We made sure to discuss this issue with my son, and we store the vitamins well out of his reach.
I think the price on these vitamins is pretty high, but comparable to the rest out there. There are 60 vitamins per bottle, which will last about a month when you are taking 2 a day. The bottles run about 7 dollars. For me though, if my son is healthier for taking them, they are well worth it.

These sound like a great way to get the kids to take their vitamins. Good for you for trying to better your families diet. It is such a hard thing to do. Glad it has a childproof cap on it.
