Disney's Coronado Springs Resort By Momof2 Disneyboys By Momof2Disneyboys on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

We just returned from our 3rd Walt Disney World trip. This time we stayed 7 nights at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. Disney has three categories of resorts - value, moderate, and deluxe. Coronado Springs is in the moderate category. We stayed during "regular" season, and paid about $165 a night I believe.

From the pictures it looked like a great resort so we decided to give it a try. Unfortunately we were not all that impressed. We got a room in the Cabana section like we wanted, but it was not all that clean. There were things under the beds that I am sure are still there today. I left a note on top of the tip 3 days in a row asking housekeeping for a shower cap and she would just take the money and leave the note, but no shower cap. Finally I had to go to the front desk and ask for one and they sent it to the room right away. The phones never worked the whole time we were there. And the food court service was terrible. The resort is very spread out and we didn't really care for the layout.

Now on the good side of things, the food at the food court was very good (if you could ever get waited on!!), and the swimming pool was awesome! The slide at the pool is really fun. And the overall location of the resort was very central to all of the Disney parks. The bus service was pretty good. The resort is very beautiful, especially at night with all the lights.

We didn't hate the place, but we will not likely return.

That is horrible to pay for a room and it to not even be clean.

These people need to get it together for 165 a night!

Thanks for the honest information. I will certainly stay away from this place. Colorado Springs is a beautiful place, and I am sure better resorts exist there. When we go there we will be looking for a nicer resort.
