Disney's Mickey's Milestones Tour

We went on the Mickey's Milestones Tour at Magic Kingdom this summer because of all the good things we had heard online about it, but unfortunately we were a little disappointed. Our tour guide spoke very softly and we could barely hear anything she said, she was also speaking in monotone for most of it and would go on and on about information we already knew which made the 2 1/2 hour tour unbearably long especially for my two children and then my uninterested husband. We did enjoy a few items from the tour such as getting into the Magic Kingdom before it was open to the general public, taking a Trainride to ToonTown and being the first family into Mickey's house for the day and getting a private photo session with Mickey Mouse in his house, that was memorable. Other than that it really didn't offer much new information for you Mickey fans out there, it is definitely not a tour for children, my children were very bored, especially the final hour of the tour.

Disney has some great tours although I'm sorry to hear you found this one quite boring. I want to do the one at Epcot where you do the whole tour on those Segways. :o) I'm surprised your tour guide was very mono tone, usually the guides I've come across are so crazy cheery.

If kids are not interested, then they are usually bored. The tour guide should have known that. It is good that you had the time with Mickey in his house. Thanks for sharing the information and your experience.

Aww so sorry the tour was boring. Sounds like they need better guides. Having a good guide is so important with something like that, especially for the children.

I would have to think that almost any 2.5 hour tour could be made boring by a horrible tour guide. How does Disney have a monotone tour guide? I probably would have complained... and I am not sure that I would have lasted to the end, did you?

I'm so sorry that your tour guide was lacking! I probably would have bailed halfway thru!

I have wondered about this tour. Thanks for all the great information. Sorry you were disappointed with the tour. We will probably hold off on any Disney tours until the kids get a little older. I know mine would be bored too!
