Disposable hearing protection corded

I believe personal safety equipment is extremely important and is often forgotten or marginalized.The noise omitted from lawn mowers, edgers, weed eaters, and blowers will definitely impact your hearing.using this equipment for extended periods of time may cause both short and long-term hearing loss.
The DeciDamp earplugs are disposable yet are corded (plastic).I have found these are typically good for about one days worth of work.These are sold in 100 pair/box.
They are rated for 27db noise reduction.This takes the edge off, but does not completely silence outside noise.
I have found the earplugs a little uncomfortable as the foam is stiff out of the package and require a little manipulation to mold the plugs into a usable form.
Overall, these are good, cheap earplugs that are well suited for routine small equipment work.If you are going to be wearing these on a regular basis, I would recommend a non-disposable earplug that does not use a foam end.
Update On May 08, 2008: I used these again for my lawn work this spring.Although sealed in individual plastic bags, the foam seemed stiff & stale -- but they did what they were bought for!
Just your basic, anybody can wear 'em, disposable earplugs. But they are great for occasional use, and the price is great. I used to have to wear earplugs while working grounds crew at a Bot Garden, but theirs weren't corded, and I was often having one fall out and having to hunt for it. I like the cord.
Even though they are uncomfortable but they are still good, cheap earplugs that are well suited for routine small equipment work and we only need to wear them when the situation arises.
We use these too when mowing or exposed to other prolonged loud noises.
