Doesn't Hurt... By Plum1585 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I picked up this product when it was on sale due to repackaging. The bottle claimed to address my perpetual problem of "hair expanding into a pyramid." Since I'm always fighting the Cleopatra look, my interest was piqued.

I have thick, wavy/curly, shoulder length hair that NEVER goes without product. Never. Unspeakable horror just in the imagining. So I was cautious and used this product in conjunction with my normal mousse. I applied the Anti-Poof creme first, to the "poofiest" parts, and then followed up with mousse on the lesser problem areas.

The biggest change I noticed was the softness. It was not sticky, or hard - it made my hair softer. That's good. But... it didn't add any control, which I require. I still had flyaways and untamed tufts curling up in odd fashion. It did not add definition at all.

In short, it was good for smoothing and softening curls, not for controlling or defining them.
