Dog Vitamins By HillaryM on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

Considering my dog is a minimalist and eats very little, giving him a multi-vitamin is important to me. Having tried other multi-vitamins that were made of liquid, Pet-Tabs interested me, because it is chewable. My thinking was that chewable vitamins would be much neater and easier to dispense and I was right. Pet-Tabs smell like a typical human multi-vitamin, but none the less my dog eats them up faithfully like they are a yummy treat. The value of these vitamins is excellent, considering that if you have a dog under ten pounds you are only giving them half a tablet daily. Even if you have a larger dog the dosage is one tablet daily, so a container would last you two months. This vitamin advertises itself as the healthy treat and I have made it just that for my dog. Each evening I give him half a tablet after he eats. This is a complete vitamin and mineral supplement so it is an excellent addition to any dogs diet.
