Doggy Mouthwash Inobys Oral Care Liquid By uaezarb on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
My dog Ike is a Yorkie/poodle mix and this breed can sometimes have trouble with their teeth. That means that a cleaning at the vet might need to be done if tartar build-up gets too bad. That is an expensive option that I really try to avoid. I have found a cheaper easier solution with Inobys PetFirst Oral Care Liquid that you can get at the pet store or online. The 8 oz bottle lasts a long time, because all you need is one small capful added to 2 cups of water. It took about ten days before I noticed the difference in the dog's breath and how much cleaner his teeth looked. The solution works similar to a mouthwash, in that it kills odor-causing germs and helps reduce plaque build-up.
I have three dogs and they all, of course, drink from the same water bowl, so it keeps all three with healthy teeth and gums. My dogs didn't seem to notice any difference in their water when I started using it, but if your dog does seem to hesitate to drink from the treated water, you just have to use less for a few days until they get used to it.
This is a very simple, effective way to get rid of doggie breath and save you some money on teeth cleaning at the vet. I would recommend you try it for your pet. They also make a solution for cats.

What a smart idea to keep pets' mouths nice & fresh!
I have never heard of this! I am going to check this out. I have 2 dogs with my oldest being 8.
This sounds like a great product. Thanks for sharing.
I'll need to recommend this to a friend, they have tried all kinds of stuff to reduce their dog's bad breath, with only short-lasting results, LOL! Perhaps the doggie's teeth just need a cleaning.
I've seen products like this one before and wondered if they would really work. I would much rather use this product than have to go thru the trauma of my dog being put under for a teeth cleaing.
I had not heard of this, and don't seem to need anything like it for Maggie, but it's good to know for the future.
