My mother-in-law purchased this pretty dolphin necklace for me on a cruise she took. She bought it on board the ship at one of the gift shops. It is 22 carat gold and shows a dolphin jumping through a gold hoop. The dolphin itself is made with colorful Paua Shell which is just beautiful. It has greens and blues which remind me of the ocean. It's about an inch diameter, which is a nice size. It's big enough to be noticed but not so big it's overwhelming.

This is a beautiful piece of jewlery that can be worn with a casual outfit as well as a more dressed-up outfit. I do not collect dolphins myself, but I know that it's a popular theme for collections. A necklace like this would be very nice in someone's collection of items that feature dolphins.

This was a great gift from a cruise and would be a nice gift for anyone vacationing near the water. A dolphin is such a pretty, graceful symbol that any woman would be happy to have one on a chain around her neck.
