Donnie Darko stars Jake Gyllenhaal as the title character. In this film, Donnie awakens one morning and narrowly escapes an airplane enging landing in his bedroom. After this, he begins to hallucinate a demonic rabbit who tells him what to do. Also starring in this is Jake's sister, Maggie Gyllenhaal, who appropriately plays Donnie's sister in the film. Patrick Swayze is present as a motivational speaker and Drew Barrymore as an english teacher.

This film is a fascinating trip into a Science Fiction type world, as Donnie tries to discover the secret of time travel. He has to uncover the mystery of his neigbor, an older lady who shuts herself in. He is also battling time as the movie is a countdown to a final day. I find this movie very interesting to watch, even if it is a bit difficult to understand at times. It is a must-see, at least once in your life.
