Doodle Pro Glow
By rose33oo onI have to say that I expected a little more out of this toy. You put the paper with an outline in behind the plastic front and then trace it with a marker. When you are finished you can turn a light on to view your art work. You can view it without the light, with the light, or with the light blinking on and off. My kids do enjoy it but it could be improved, in my opinion. We just recently got it and I thought it would be fun and interesting for the kids. Kind of teach them how to draw and no mess in the process. Well, I was wrong.
They opened it and proceeded to draw but when they were done the marker wouldn't erase all of their artwork. We ended up having to wet the eraser that came with it and then have a dry cloth to clean up the mess from the water. The eraser doesn't seem to do the job it was intended for. It was more like a sponge. After they played with it for a while we noticed that underneath the plastic part that they draw on looked scratched. The only way this could have happened is from the papers that go in and out of it in the back. Also, the markers seemed to run out after the first few times they used them.
It seems to be a neat idea and lets the kids become artists while tracing the outlines and it has plenty of storage for your markers and papers and such. I just wish it weren't such a hassle to erase and I sure wish I could know for sure how the paper is scratching the inside. On a positive note, the kids didn't seem to mind the mess, it kept them pretty busy for a while!

Sorry to hear it was messy. Did you ever write to the company and complain? Or at least ask about the problem that you were having? It's always a good idea to tell the company that something isn't working as it should. They could do a recall and correct the flawed product. You shouldn't have to deal with a product that doesn't work well. Good luck :)
I'm glad the kids had fun with it anyway. At least that keeps it from being a TOTAL rip-off!
