Dooney And Burke Satchel Purse

I love good leather, especially in purses. But finding a good transitional purse for Spring or late summer can be difficult. I bought my Dooney & Burke leather satchel 15 years ago. It looks as fresh and new today as it was the day I bought it at Macy's. One of the classic hallmarks of the D&B line is its warranty. If any integral part of their purses fail, they will repair or replace it free for life. Since I have a bad habit of jammimg up the zippered sections on my purses, this was especially reassuring.
Another problem area on many fine handbags is the base. Just sitting it or even accidentally bumping it on rough surfaces can create small tears or deep scuffs and scratches in the leather. This pursehas 6 brass knobs set into the base keep all of the daily dirt and abrasions away from its fine pebbled leather. And...this handbag is amazingly waterproof. I've been caught by sudden Spring storms carrying my D&B and water just rolls off its superior leather.
The zipper is strong, set in sturdy fabric, as are the inner two compartments. Every inch of this lovely purse personifies quality. They are what I call your investment pieces, timeless classic and utterly dependable.

I love the new dooney and burke styles. A good leather purse does last for years. I have a few coach in my closet that went out of style before they were close to wearing out. I am just waiting for the right new style of doonys to come out for me and it's gonna be mine.
Sigh, I want a leather book bag. I nearly gasped when I saw the price of this bag, but I suppose over 15 years you've had a really great return on the investment. Thanks for the info!

When I say the title, I was thinking I still have mine and I bet it atleast 15 years old, it was bought before I had my son,LOL. They do last forever and are awesome quality!
NOW I understand why ladies are willing to pay so much for a bag. Wow, if it lasts 15 years, and you love it, it's definitely worth it!
There are so many cheap knock-offs it's almost rare to see the "real thing"
I have two Dooney and Burkes. These purses are wonderful. One is 20 years old and still looks fantastic. The other is a bit younger and ditto on the looks. I don't buy purses because I don't have to. My D&Bs have stood the test of time, are still very stylish, and I'm sure will be around for another 20 years. We just got our teen one and hers is going great through the abuse she puts it through. They are truly well worth the investment. Thanks.
The price has my eyes bugging out of my head! But I guess if you never have to buy another purse for life, in perspective, it is a good deal:0)
