Dorcy Flashlights By karlawmcdonald on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

I cannot believe what a bargain I got in this flashlight! I bought it at Wal-Mart near the cash registers on an end cap, I thought for under $6.00 it would be no big deal even if the quality was not that great, but it is!

First off, it has a rubberised bright yellow coating, which is great because the first night I had to use it I dropped it on asphalt and it survived. Also it takes 4 AA batteries, and I like that part as well because we only use rechargeable batteries so those are easy to come by and will save us a ton of money.

The next thing I noticed and I liked it the handle, it is easy to grip onto and I have a lot of issues with my hands so that really helps me out a lot. Also if you will notice in the pictures, the black part of the flashlight is movable, so you can angle it in any direction, hang it most any place, sit it upright, you can move it in just about any direction you may need it.

The light beam is very bright and goes for quite some distance, I can stand on my back deck and shine this light to my kennels, and it sets over 500 feet away from my home. I am impressed.

This flashlight is by a company I have never heard of before, but I am so glad I gave it a shot because it has definitely been worth the money.
