Double Cross - I was excited to read this, I love the Alex Cross series, but was hoping for a little more substance than some of Patterson's recent "co-author" books and he delivered. It was still a quick read, as all of Patterson's books are,but there's enough of a story to satisfy you. Alex is back and with another new girlfriend. He's no longer on the police force or with the FBI, but instead has his own practice. Everything's going along smoothly - you know it has to change! A killing spree begins and teh killer leaves a message for Alex, so now he's back in it, and surprisingly Nana approves. Kyle Craig is back in this one as well, in solitary confinement but he still manages to escape (can't tell you how!), and he is tangled up with the killer. The ending was a little anti-climatic for me and is definitely set up for a sequel but this is still a good read.
