Dove: Daily Moisture Therapy Or Not? By morrow1411 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
My daughter has very dry hair that just seems to tangle in knots with every movement. On top of having dry hair, she also is very tender headed. I have used Dove products for years, and thought that perhaps this Dove daily moisture therapy was the answer to my prayers. The product claims to replenish moisture, instantly detangle, reduce static, and leave hair looking smooth, soft, and healthy. The bottle says you can use the product on wet or dry hair as well.
When I tried the product on my daughters dry hair, it instantly felt like hairspray. Her hair became sticky, and felt even drier then it did before hand. I actually had to wash her hair in order to get the product out of it, so that I could brush it. Thinking that it might work on wet hair better, I tried using it on my own hair after taking a shower. Needless to say I had to take another shower just to get the product out so that I could brush my hair.
I don't know why this stuff is on the market, it causes more problems then it helps. I think it would work better if it was on the market as a hair thicking spray, or light weight hairspray. For now we will stick with Sunsilk De-Frizz cream.

That Dove Daily Moisture Therapy was a real bomb for you and your family! I had tried some of the Dove hair products when they first started coming out and they just made my hair so flat and limp. I was sorry that they did not work for me because I really love their "real woman" campaign and wanted to support a company that supports real women and not just those in a certain body image.
I have tried this before and it didn't work for me too.
i just bought this product. i've used it twice. so far i see no difference in my hair.
