Dove Deep Conditioning Treatment By jayjay1113 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I use a lot of conditoners and since I am a fan of the 'old' formula of Dove's moisturizing mist, I thought I'd try their Deep Conditioning Treatment. Well, my hair doesn't like it much.

It is for severly damaged hair - my hair isn't severely damaged but it is dry and I but all products with 'moisture' in them. It has weightless moisturizers in it and comes in a 220mL squeezable tube. I can't tell you what the ingredients are because they aren't listed on the tube. I think this is strange because I thought product pakaging laws in Canada at least made it manadatory for manufacturers to list ingredients on packaging - I guess Unilever (makers of Dove products) are exempt.

This product claims to intensely hydrate and help repair severly damaged hair and leave is soft, smooth and vibrant. I found that while my hair was soft, it was dull and easily tangled. I used it according to the instructions too! You basically massage some of the deep treatment in after shampooing and wait 1 - 3 minutes before rinsing it out.

The Dove Deep Conditioning Treatment did not work on my afro, kinky textured 4a/b hair but it may work for others with a smoother hair texture.
