Dove Energy Glow Self Tanner

Self tanners have come a long way in the last few years. In my opinion, they have a little ways to go before they become great. I think Dove Energy Glow Self Tanner is a good product, just not a great on. I bought this at the beginning of the summer after hearing a new segment on self tanners and how they had improved. This product is to give you a very slow and subtle tan or glow. I used it mostly on my legs and arms, never on my face. I did get a slight tan or glow, none of that orange stuff you used to get with these products. I was happy. Then, I noticed I was getting a funny accumulation of color at my ankles and elbow - the part of my skin that is slightly rougher than the skin on my arms or legs. Ick! It was so ovious that I was using a tanner and I stopped immediately. Perhaps I wasn't getting it on evenly? I followed the directions to the letter. I guess I'm just not ready for a self tanner yet. I'll give them a few more years and try again.
