I received Dove Rejuvenating Night Lotion as a sample with a body wash. The lotion is highly fragranced. I was expecting the fragrance to smell like honey, lavender or chamomile, something soothing. The scent is not like that at all! It is a sweet cloying perfume that lingers long after application. I have no clue how Dove associates this scent with sleep and nighttime! I would describe the scent as feminine, warm and floral.

The consistency is different. There are orange-colored micropearls of shea butter that are supposed to exfoliate. I tend to like scratchier types of exfoliators, ones you can actually feel. These were few and far between in the lotion and sometimes seemed like an afterthought. They felt very gentle. The cream has a light to medium consistency and doesn't absorb super quickly. It leaves an odd light greasy feel on the skin.

I like some of the ingredients including: honey extract, glycerin and shea butter.

I would not purchase this, and I would not recommend it to people.
