For years, I have spent untold amounts of money trying fabric softners based on fragrance, hoping that the fresh scent would remain on my clothing, towels and sheets, only to be dissappointed time and time again. I usually do not buy pricer consumable items, but I was willing to give Downey a try.

The scent while in the bottle is smooth, fresh and pleasant. Not overpowering at all. My first load of laundry to try the new fabric softner was my bedsheets. I was thrilled to lay down two nights later and still was able to smell the vanilla and lavender freshness.

The second test was washing my favorite fleece pull-over. My shirt was not only very soft and held no static electricity. I was also able to smell the fresh scent on my shirt, but it did not interfer with my favorite perfume.

Downy Simple Pleasures vanilla and lavender is a wonderful product and well worth the money spent. The liquid fabric softner claims to last 35 loads, my first bottle lasted 30...perhaps I got a little carried away with a few loads!!
