Dr. Scholl's Diabetic Crew Socks By Karen on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

My husband is a diabetic and as such, he needs to wear special socks because of the problems he has with circulation in his feet and legs. I purchased two pair of Dr. Scholl's Diabetes and Circulatory Health Socks at Walmart for $7.50. That may seem a little pricey, but for my husband's good health it is worth it to me.

So far the socks seem to be doing OK, but time will tell if my husband has any problems with them. They are designed to keep feet drier, they are odor resistant, allow circulation with non-binding tops and have a non-irritating smooth toe seam. The socks come in white, which is OK because my husband is not into a lot of fancy colors for socks.

These socks are also guaranteed for one full year (socks with a guarantee!) and are 46% acrylic, 46% polyester, 7% nylon and 1% spandex. They are treated with an antimicrobial agent that prevents odors even after repeated washings.

There is a warning that the socks can be slippery when walking without shoes.

My husband has just started to wear them, and so far he seems to like them. If he has any problems with these socks, I will add an update.

I've seen these socks and wondered about them since I too am diabetic. So far, I don't need them, but I will defiitely consider these when I do. Thanks for the information.

My husband and I both have some of these. My ankles swell a lot and they do help. My husband has bad varicose veins down his leg, which appeared after his knee surgery. The socks really do help him with his leg pain. They can be a little tough to pull on, because they are so tight, but once you get them on, they are fine.
