Dr. Scholl's Origina Wooden Exercise Sandals By Bobbie on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Dr. Scholl's Original Wood Exercise Sandals are not the same sturdy product that they were back in the seventies. They still look the same. When I first got them, I was thrilled. They were cute as ever and comfortable as well.

My excitement soon turned to dissapointment a week later. After only a week of wear the rubber sole wore down all the way to the wood. The rubber sole is so soft that when walking outside, stepping on the smallest piece of gravel will gouge a hole in the bottom of the shoe. Why in the world would they make the soles of the shoes out of such a soft rubber? One week and they already needed to be resoled.

I didn't have the shoes resoled. I just couldn't stand to spend the money after only one week of use. Week two and the wood was severely worn down.

After two months of use, one of the rivets on the side of the shoe that holds the leather strap on came out.

I really had high hopes for these shoes. I loved them in the seventies and remembered that they had been sturdy shoes. Unfortunately this is not the case anymore. They are still cute shoes, but they are made very poorly. I will not buy another pair.
