Dr. Scholl's Soothes My Soul By Sparkle333 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

When my husband and I owned a coffeehouse, and sang there, I always wore sandals with platform heels to make me look taller. I'm only 5'2" and need all the help I can get. But after we sold the coffeehouse, and I got a little older and wiser, I decided that comfort meant a lot more to me than height. So I have been wearing more sensible shoes for quite a while. And what a difference it can make!

Believe it or not, Walmart sells Dr. Scholl's shoes, and they are so comfortable. My favorite style is called "Marci". It is classified as a women's duty shoe, but it is a great all purpose shoe. It is a slip-on shoe with a small elastic insert on one side, and a zipper on the other. You can zip the shoe all the way up, or only halfway, if it feels better. It looks great both ways!

Dr. Scholl's has a cushioning gel that provides extra protection and shock absorption. This style has a solid enclosed toe that looks great with slacks, or it would also make a great work shoe. As Dr. Scholl's ad goes, "Are you gellin'?" When you try these shoes, you will be!
