Dressy and Durable

Overall I love The Children's Place!They feature relatively inexpensive clothing for both girls and boys, from newborn sizes up to children's sizes.Their toddler sizes range from 2T to 5T, and my 2.5 year old son is wearing 3T and 4T sizes.

I really like their plaid button down, short sleeve dress shirts.I purchased a red, blue, and white plaid shirt in size 4T for my son to wear to dressier occasions.This shirt is 100% cotton, so it's lightweight and great for the warm summer months.Aside from being a great looking shirt, I really like the fact that the tag on the back of the shirt is sewn into the shirt - it eliminates the itch that some tags give to children.I would rather it be completely tagless to totally eliminate any skin irritation, but being sewn to the shirt seems to work just fine for my son and he never complains of the tag bothering him.

The shirt features a button down collar as well as buttons down the front, and a little pocket on the left chest area.The shirt does come in other color combinations, but I selected the red/blue/white one so that it would look good with both blue jeans/shorts and khaki colored bottoms.

This shirt washes well, no fraying of material or buttons coming loose even after many trips through the washing machine.If you don't pull it right out of the dryer, though, a quick iron job is usually necessary, but it doesn't take long to get this shirt looking crisp again.

With the quality of Children's Place clothing, I am confident that my son will outgrow this shirt before he has the chance to wear it out!
