Drury Inn Columbus, Ohio
By vsimeone onEach year I travel to Columbus for a State Conference at the Columbus Convention Center.About four years ago, the Drury Hotel was built and joined to the convention center.A group of us started staying there the first year that it opened and fell in love. Each room is clean and spacious with a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee pot.Free WiFi is also included in each room.Every morning there is a free breakfast bar in the lobby.During the day, there is free soft drinks and popcorn available and each evening is "Happy Hour" where each adult guest receives three free drinks and snacks.
Parking is fairly reasonable at $12 per day with free in and outs.Since the hotel is adjoined to the convention center, there is no need to walk outside in the elements.
We have always found the rates to be VERY competitive with other hotels in the area. Each year, before checking out, I am sure to make our reservations for the following year as this hotel has become very popular with conference attendees! If you have the opportunity to try a Drury Inn, I highly recommend it!

I want to stay here. I wish more hotels had bonuses like this one. I have stayed in ones that have the free breakfasts in the morning which is perfect because we are not big breakfast eaters but how nice it would be to get frre, drinks and popcorn in the afternoons. I've only seen that if you were in a conceirge room.
This sounds like the best place to stay if attending the conference in Columbus. I cannot believe all the free things they offer for you: free WiFi, breakfast lobby, free soft drinks and popcorn, and three free drinks and snacks during Happy Hour. How many places can one think of which offers that many things to persons staying at their hotel? It is no wonder that the place has become so very popular with conference attendees. You are so very smart to book a room for the following year. Very nice description! Nice job!
I've heard VERY good things about Drury Inns as opposed to Hampton Inns in the same class. It looks like they offer a lot of services for your business dollars.
I've actually never stayed at one of these, so it's good to know that it could be worth a try. Thanks!
This hotel sounds like a great place to stay in Columbus, Ohio. I love hotels with a convention center connected. We attend Coca Cola Conventions and always appreciate the hotels with everything located under one room. Thanks for your information!
This sounds like it would be a pleasant home away from home and the free wi-fi would make work all that much easier. A very big plus is that it is connected to the convention center, no need to check the weather before you leave ;).
Sounds like a nice place to go on business...complete with happy hour to unwind after a LONG day :0)
Always nice for the hotel to be attached or close to where your convention is. Saves so much time and headaches. Love the "happy hour" feature. The Hilton in downtown Nashville had the same option and after a long day at work or training, believe me, the free glass of wine was helpful.
This sounds like a very nice hotel. It is nice to know they have competitive rates as well.
Never been over to that side of Ohio, but that sounds like a great hotel, business or otherwise. I like the free pop and popcorn! That is a nice bonus. It is nice that it is attached to the convention center. That can save some hassle.
