Dry Skin, Begone! By maryelser on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

My husband works in a factory where he makes stryofoam cups, like the ones you buy coffee in at convenience stores. Because of this and the cold winters, the palms of his hands and fingers always end up cracked and bleeding. The poor man spent 20% of this winter with bandaids on his fingers!

He had tried different lotions over the years and most of them just worked so-so. So, when we were at Walmart last Sunday night, we looked the different lotions over. Now, we are not against paying more for name brand products but when we can, we buy off-brands. We found a bottle of Equate Advanced Healing Skin Protectant Lotion, which was compared to Vaseline Intensive Care Lotion and decided to give it a try.

Usually, you get what you pay for. This lotion cost only $2.87 and was worth much more! There is no fragrance and it is non- oily. Within three days of using the lotion, my husband's hands had completely healed up. I also used the lotion on my rough, dry elbows, just once and now they are smooth. When this bottle empties, I will be buying another one. I recommend Equate Advanced Healing Lotion to anyone who has a problem with rough, dry skin.

I love this lotion. I have said it before and I will say it again: Walmarts equate brands are as good as name brand in most areas.
