DTE Energy Music Theatre- Detroit, MI

One of my favorite places to go enjoy a summer concert is the DTE Energy Music Theatre in Clarkson Michigan. Its easy to get to just off of I-75. The cool thing about this concert hall is it is outside. When you enter you climb a huge hill, then when you get to the top you go down and sit on the grass. I always bring my own chair or blanket. It is a wise idea to keep personal belongings in the car as there are thousands of people in close proximity and things can get lost easily. Basically its like one big rock and roll party outdoors. The music is loud and everyone around is having a good time. Ive seen Def Leppard, Beastie Boys and many other bands here. They also have a enclosed pavilion close to the stage in case if you don't want a lawn ticket. DTE is a great place to hear your favorite band and enjoy the outdoors at the same time.
